Vines selected on the sunniest hillsides in the South of the appellation. Soils made up of sand and safres from the Miocene period. Southern exposure. Approximately 120m of altitude, guarantee of freshness.

Winter has been particularly mild. Thanks to a wet spring, water resources were good enough. The vines went through the dry and hot summer without any trouble. Harvest started on the 10th of September and lasted 3 days, under very good sanitary conditions.

Grape Varieties: 

100% Muscat à petits grains

Terroir: 

Soils of sand and safres from the Miocene period. Altitude: 120 to 200 m. Vines are oriented East/West. The main part of our Muscat comes from the "Fontsante" sector. 

Winemaking: 

Manual harvest in small cases. Total destemming. Skin contact maceration at very low temperature (3°C) during 5 hours. Fermentation at low temperature (14°C). Alcohol is added to stop the fermentation in order to obtain a final degree of 15° and 110g of residual sugar.
15% of the cuvée is aged in Laurus oak barrels.

3000 bottles produced. 

Tasting notes: 

Un nez parfumé exhalant le fruit frais avec des nuances florales et exotiques. La bouche est suave, élégante et la finale aérienne.

Si l’Appellation date de 1945, les Romains appréciaient déjà les qualités de ce vin doux exceptionnel puisque l’on raconte que Pline l’Ancien aurait mentionné son nom dans un de ses ouvrages « Histoire Naturelle ».
