The "Controlled Appellation of Origin" of this naturally sweet wine dates back to 1945. Located on the Southern slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail, the Muscat de Beaumes de Venise Laurus celebrates the grape "Muscat à petits grains" that produces an exceptional sweet, opulent and round wine.
Bright, yellow gold colour. An intense nose of white flowers, quince jelley and white peach notes. Smooth and velvety texture with lively pear and peach flavours. The rich sweetness is beautifully balanced by a brisk acidity, leaving a bright and refreshing finish.
If the Appellation dates back to 1945, the Romans already appreciated the qualities of this exceptional sweet wine since it is said that Pliny the Elder would have mentioned his name in one of his books "Natural History".
