Gigondas Lieu-dit Les Trois Yeux - Red - 2017

***(*) - Drink Rhone
"(casks) dark robe; the nose has a curvy, appealing black berry aroma, its purity an asset. It carries the sunny ripeness of the vintage, some smokiness. The palate gives raspberry fruit with squeezy tannins, hints at the smooth texture derived from a high degree. This is straightforward Gigondas with sound fruiting." - John Livingstone-Learmonth - Drink Rhone - Dec. 2018
89/100 - The Wine Advocate
"A new single-vineyard offering from a plot high in the Dentelles (400-450 meters above sea level), the 2017 Gigondas lieu-dit les Trois Yeux is 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah, aged in demi-muids. While full-bodied, it lacks a bit of textural richness on the mid-palate to support its bold flavors of licorice, stone fruit and mint, then finishes on notes of cedar and brown sugar." Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate - Aug 2019
95/100 - Jeb Dunnuck
"The 2017 Gigondas Lieu-Dit Les Trois Yeux comes from a higher elevation parcel of limestone soils and is 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah aged 16 months in once-used demi-muids. It has an exotic bouquet of dark fruits, red plums, ground pepper, and garrigue. Medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced, and with both richness and elegance, it’s another thrilling wine from this estate that’s going to keep for over a decade. It’s a brilliant Gigondas." Jeb Dunnuck - Sep 2019
93/100 - Wine Enthusiast
"Gabriel Meffre’s flagship Gigondas bottling, this is a lusciously textured blend of 90% Grenache and just 10% Syrah. Full bodied and soft in tannins, this unctuous but freshly perfumed red finishes on lingering notes of lavender and dried earth. Ready now the wine should drink well through 2030. Boisset Collection. Côtes du Rhône Villages Plan de Dieu - Red - 2014

91/100   Robert Parker - Wine Advocate
"The 2014 Côtes du Rhône Villages Plan de Dieu (50/50 Grenache and Syrah) is a terrific wine in the vintage, as well as a smoking value. Notes of black cherries, licorice, lavender and roasted herbs all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, seamless, complex and already superb 2014 that’s ideal for drinking over the coming 4-6 years." "A true blockbuster that competes with the top wines of the vintage is the 2015 Gigondas Hommage À Gabriel Meffre, which comes mostly from 100-year-old Grenache vines planted in sandy and limestone soils. Aged all in concrete tanks, it’s a naked expression of Grenache that boasts fabulous notes of cassis, lavender, garrigue and crushed flowers. Full-bodied, concentrated and downright decadent, it got more than one “Wow” in the notes and should be snatched up by Grenache lovers!" Jeb Dunnuck - The Wine Advocate - December 2016
